Neil Sinclair - Cyber Security & Internet Safety Speaker.
Neil has been recognised in “The Progress 1000: London's most influential people” for his work in Technology & Cyber Security and has recently been named in the IT Leaders 100 - a list of the most influential IT leaders in the UK.
Having worked in UK counter-terrorism for over thirty years, during which he was involved in most of the Metropolitan Police’s biggest Terrorist Operations, Neil has focussed his attention on guiding small businesses, charities and the wider community towards digital awareness. Utilising a unique personal, face-to-face delivery, his focus is on cultural change, utilising the growth of home working as the catalyst for a better understanding of the subject.
Neil's collaboration with Police Crime Prevention Initiatives improved cyber security vendor standards, providing greater assurance to end users. He worked with the NHS counter fraud authority to improve cyber awareness. He has also worked with the insurance sector to improve the support for small businesses that have suffered cyber attacks. He is a trained assessor for Cyber Essentials and IASME Assurance.
Neil is a passionate sportsman, having played rugby for Harlequins, won several Real Tennis tournaments and was a four times Powerboat world champion.
